The Llangollen area is not perhaps the first place that springs to mind when you think about rock climbing in North Wales. People often travel West to the famous routes and crags of Snowdonia, but the climbing around Llangollen has a lot to offer and is much less crowded. Much of the climbing is contained within the Eglwyseg valley. This extends from the Trefor quarry area just behind Dinas Bran Castle, to Worlds End, a few miles to the North.
